This is the newest generation of the K-Swiss Bigshot tennis shoe line although this shoe feels completely different from the original Bigshot. The Bigshot II feels like an in-between of the Adidas Barricade tennis shoes and the original Bigshot.

The Wilson Steam 105 S tennis racquet may be the perfect transitional racquet for junior players, especially those who are slight in build. The open string pattern allows access to easy power and control on groundstrokes, serves and volleys.

I understand that the racquet companies want to sell tennis racquets to all tennis skill levels of the tennis community. However, I cannot in good faith defend the design and manufacture and sale of racquets like the Babolat Drive Max 110 tennis racquet.

The Wilson Juice 100L tennis racquet is an interesting look for player with tennis skill levels between 3.5-4.0 who are looking for more control and access to spin.

Simply put, this is a great tennis racquet. I have been a sometime fan of the Babolat Aeropro tennis racquets. I would recommend this tennis racquet to serious hard hitting players without any reservations whatsoever.

The Wilson Juice Pro BLX is a great tennis racquet choice for a player who hits a big groundstroke and an even bigger serve. I found this racquet to have a big sweet spot for only being a 96 square inch racquet and in turn found the Wilson Juice Pro BLX to be more powerful than I had anticipated.

Let me start by saying that the Dunlop Biomimetic F3.0 Tour is a very good racquet choice for players above the 4.0\4.5 level who have games with multiple components. My one caveat would be that a player should already own a game that they are relatively happy with, not be in the process of trying to develop a serve or to change from a one-handed to two-handed backhand. A big problem is the consumer is overwhelmed with choices and it takes a player a lot of time and effort to find a good tennis racquet. The Dunlop Biomimetic M5.0 series of tennis racquets exemplifies everything that is wrong with the tennis racquet market today.

According to Volkl, this is a co-poly string which is designed to provide high levels of both spin and power. I think that is a very accurate description. There is a very soft ball pocket with this string and it was easy to both spin the ball and pound it with good levels of control and comfort.

Babolat recommends this racquet for 3.5 players and I think that is the correct starting point. I think this is the perfect racquet for good junior players moving to their first adult frame. But I would encourage more experienced players to take a look at this frame. If this frame had been available that summer, it is for sure where I would have gone.

No doubt this review will be read and\or interpreted as my taking shots at Wilson, but everything I write here can be applied to every one of the ‘top’ racquet manufacturers. This racquet is A) Not at all a useful tool\weapon for serious players in my mind; and B) Indicative of the wild design and manufacturing quality swings that are almost routine these days even for the major companies.

For a long time now I have been off Wilson racquets. They have always made the best frames in my mind, in a historical sense, but the last few years a lot of their ‘player’ frames felt clunky and unwieldy. This was true even for someone who had played with Wilson racquets for much of his life and was therefore predisposed to give a new Wilson offering a favorable look.

When it comes to managing sports facilities, it’s a great day when certain topics don’t come up. If you operated softball diamonds for championship tournaments, you wouldn’t want to deal with complaints about the dimensions of the playing fields. At the end of the tournament, it’s your hope that no one ever brings the matter up, because no one ever gives praise for a properly configured field. In tennis it’s no different. If tennis nets, posts and the court surface are not within specifications, people will complain but if they are reliable no one notices or comments.

  I got my pair of the Babolat Men's Propulse 3 shoes on my feet about 2 months ago. I know they had been out a little while but I had to burn through my old Barricade V's first. I am not hardest on shoes so it took a little while. However, I was really excited to try these shoes.

I have to say up front that I was predisposed to not like this racquet. I was sponsored by Prince for a while a few years back, and not only did I not like the racquets that much, I found the roundish shape of the handles to be problematic. So the first thing I noticed when I picked this racquet up to hit with it, was the nice squarish traditional type panels on the grip and the textured grip material which made the handle very easy to grip and very comfortable to play with. Then I started playing min-tennis with a junior player to warm them up for their lesson and we were having longer rallies than usual right away, largely because I could spin the ball with a softer spin and a higher loop with this racquet right away. The kid I was hitting with has a spin based game already and before long we were hitting from corner to corner, land the ball in the middle of the service box and trying to out-spin the other person with severe spin and angle. It was really fun and I think that is the thing I like best about this frame. It is just a fun racquet to hit with.
