Victoria Tennis Academy in Kenya Launches Junior Aces Program
December 27th, 2011 by Do It Tennis
The USTA recently announced their successful completion of 3000 tennis courts in the U.S. The project was a part of the 10 and Under Tennis initiative to help bring a love of tennis to children in the hopes of creating more top ranked American’s in the future.
The U.S. is not the only country with such an initiative. Victoria Tennis Academy, originally from Australia, has branched out as far as Kenya and is making great strides in bringing the game of tennis to underprivileged youth of that area.
Created in partnership with the Ace program from the United Kingdom, Victoria Tennis Academy launched the Junior Aces Program in November.
As the program is still in its infancy, they are in desperate need of tennis equipment such as tennis nets, used equipment and other court refurbishment materials. For more information on how to donate to this budding program, contactCollins Agwanda at collinsagwanda@gmail.com.
