Tennis Racquet Review: HEAD Graphene XT PWR Prestige 2

Tennis Racquet Review HEAD Graphene XT PWR Prestige 2 If you are an intermediate player (3.0 to 4.5 NTRP ranking) looking for the right HEAD tennis racquet, we’ve got a solution. The new HEAD Graphene XT PWR Prestige 2 works for both singles and doubles players who are aggressive at the net. We knew HEAD was onto something when we previewed the Graphene XT Prestige line earlier in 2016. Now they have something suited for tennis players with moderate swings. The new racquet’s 107" head size is ideal for players looking to step up. It also features inner and outer QuadFace for a larger sweet spot and more power.

HEAD Graphene XT PWR Prestige 2 Specifications

Along with the larger more forgiving head size, this frame carries a decent weight at 10 oz but is maneuverable. A swing weight of 319 makes it easier to swing than other Graphenes XT models. The length is a comfortable 27.33 inches. The beam width is 26mm/26mm/28mm. A lower string tension of 52 to 62 pounds is the target for this tennis racquet.

Head Tennis Racquet Technology

HEAD racquets come with an array of innovative technologies including:

  • YOUTEK Technology that combines different technologies to allows the racquet to adapt to every shot you hit.
  • d3o Technology that senses the needs of the players during different strokes. On high-speed impacts (aggressive shots), the smart molecules lock together within nanoseconds and dramatically increase the stiffness of the whole racquet frame to provide maximum power. On slow-speed impacts (slice or drop shots), the d3o™ molecules absorb the impact to provide a softer touch for better feel. What does this mean to a tennis player? Passing shots are even harder and drop shots more precise.
  • Innegra is the world's lightest high performance fiber in the industry today. HEAD's advanced carbon composite technology combined with Innegra™ forms an extremely tough fiber. The new high composite structure is integrated into the racquet for shock absorption and improved stability. Vibration at ball impact is reduced by up to 17% for unmatched control and precision and is easier on your arm. HEAD's new hybrid-composite structure considerably extends the performance of your HEAD racquet at the highest level, giving you consistent performance over the entire life of your frame.

HEAD GrapheneXT is the choice of the pros

The HEAD GrapheneXT tennis racquet line has already proven itself on the professional tennis circuit. Many top ATP tennis stars, like Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych and Bernard Tomic, are already using variations of the HEAD Graphene XT tennis racquet. Among the top 25 WTA players Maria Sharapova, Roberta Vinci, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Sloane Stephens are on the HEAD tennis racquet team. They all appreciate what HEAD tennis racquet technology delivers.
