The
Wilson Rush Pro 2.0 tennis shoes are the newest edition of an old favorite. The subtle changes in these shoes make a huge difference in feel over the previous version.
One of the changes you will notice is the cosmetic change. These tennis shoes got an overhaul for the better, and look sleeker than the previous model because of its added mesh. It looks less bulky and is certainly more fashion forward.
Besides cosmetic differences, there are changes in the fit and feel of these shoes. As mentioned above, there is added mesh in the forefoot to provide more ventilation which helps keep your feet cool and dry. The Wilson Rush Pro 2.0 also fits wider than the previous model, which for most players is a positive change. Though, if you have a narrow foot, you may have trouble with the wider toe box. The extra space in the shoe can cause rubbing and discomfort.
These shoes still performs well on the court. They have strong durability and are backed by the
6 Month Outsole Durability Guarantee. They will feel secure and solid due to their stability and support. Even with that durability, they have a light and fast feel, and won’t feel heavy in the forefoot like the previous model.
The only negative in these shoes is the lack of cushion - there isn’t much cushion to protect your joints from the impact of the tennis court. So if you are used to playing with lots of plush cushion, you won’t get that in this shoe. The little cushion it does have may wear down sooner than you would like.
The lack of cushion isn’t a deal breaker because of the better fit and feel overall. If you liked the original Rush Pro, you will most likely still enjoy this revamped pair of tennis shoes. It is ideal for frequent players who want confidence in performance on the court while having much needed support. See for yourself!
