Tennis Shoe Review - adidas Barricade 8 Sella McCartney Women’s Tennis Shoes

Adidas Barricade 8 Stella McCartney Women’s Tennis Shoes - Tennis Shoe Review

Win in style with the new adidas Barricade 8 Stella McCartney edition tennis shoes. Stella has created another stylish design in the new Barricade 8 tennis shoes and will leave your opponents speechless. This design is spot on in my opinion, especially with the poppy pink color choice. There is a good amount of breathability in the upper so your feet won’t feel too hot. The upper of this tennis shoe has a breathable Kurim material that looks like a mesh/ polka dot design. The Kurim material is softer and lighter weight and adds breathability to the shoe. The signature adidas stripes are on the side of these tennis shoes and there is a silver heel strap at the back of the shoes. The inside of this tennis shoe is anatomically made to fit your foot. There are both adiPRENE + and adiPRENE inserted in the midsoles to provide shock absorption and cushion. The outsole of the adidas Barricade 8 Stella edition has high durability in areas that will have more wear and is backed by the 6 month durability guarantee. It also has the herringbone material to help aid in stick and not slip. The fit of the tennis shoe is the only feature that may be an issue, the toe box is very roomy and they do fit longer than most shoes so the extra space can cause rubbing. Unlike the previous models of Barricades, the adidas Barricade 8 Stella McCartney edition tennis shoe feels comfortable at first wear so there is minimal break in time needed. The heel in this tennis shoe is very impressive as it feels nice and cushioned. The arch is low on this shoe but not bothersome in any way. Again an insole could be added to aid in comfort if felt needed. The stability of the Stella Barricade 8’s is favorable and is enough for most tennis players. It is lacking an extra eyelet hole for the laces so you can’t lock in the heel as much with the lacing but instead there is a strap on the back of the tennis shoe that helps lock in the heel. Best of all, this tennis shoe is light which is surprising for the amount of durability and support it has. It doesn't feel bulky. Compared to the previous model of Barricades the 8’s prove to be lighter weight and more breathable. There is also better toe durability so overall I would choose this tennis shoe over the Barricade 7 tennis shoes. With all of these improvements and awesome features, it’s no wonder Pro tennis player Caroline Wozniaki plays in these shoes. Stella McCartney Barricade 8’s are only $119.99 which is a very reasonable price for a designer tennis shoe with all of its amenities.
