The Har-Tru Armor Complete Crack Repair System for Tennis & Pickleball Courts is designed for contractors to make long-term repairs for asphalt court cracks. Each kit is equipped with ample materials to repair 300 linear feet of cracks. 

Kit Contents:

• (4) Rolls of Armor Yellow Mesh
• (2) Rolls of Armor Lime Green Release Tape (tape)
• (1) Roll of Armor Wide White Fabric
• (1) Roll of Armor Narrow White Fabric.

Please Note: Each kit requires 15 Gallons of Flexible Neutral Resurfacer and 5 Gallons of Court Patch Binder (sold separately). Armor highly recommends the consistent use of their Flexible Materials as a cohesive system to minimize the risk of recracking.

The repair system utilizes a specially knitted fabric that expands as the crack widens. The fabric works best because it is purposely NOT bonded to the court in the vicinity of the crack, (forming a “slipsheet”). This allows more movement of the crack without the fabric tearing or delaminating from the surface. It works so well by spreading the stress of the crack over a six-inch wide area of expandable fabric.

Although the system will not prevent cracks from developing elsewhere on the court or prevent cracks from growing in length out beyond the repair, it has successfully kept repaired structural cracks from reappearing on the surface for years.

Why Do Courts Crack?
The most common problem with asphalt courts is cracking from their natural tendency to shrink as it weathers and ages. Asphalt also loses its flexibility, becoming more brittle over time. Since outdoor courts are exposed to temperature extremes that cause expansion & contraction, cracking is almost always inevitable.

Surface Preparation:
Existing court surface must be clean and contaminate free. It will not stick to dirt, pollen, dust, leaves, or loose paint. Scraping the surface and blowing off debris is usually adequate; pressure washing may be necessary. In those cases, cracks should be filled first to prevent water from entering during washing. Any old repairs must be removed to provide a sound base for the Repair System to adhere. The repair will only be as strong as the surface to which it is bonded.

Installation:
Installation does not leave margin for error; therefore, it is NOT a do-it-yourself product. Armor must be installed by contractors who have the tools and experience necessary to understand the application. It is imperative that it is installed according to explicit video instructions.
