Each 1.75-inch-thick panel features a sound-deadening interior without a metal frame. Installation and Space Requirements

The Economy Flat Series mounts to standard fence posts using the supplied pressure-treated lumber. The 8-foot-high models use three horizontal rows of 2 × 4 supports, while the 10-foot-high models use four rows. Installation requires basic carpentry skills, including positioning the supports and drilling the panel mounting holes as directed in the manufacturer’s instructions.

For a secure installation, 12-foot-wide units generally attach to two fence posts. Wider 16- and 20-foot configurations typically require three posts. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local requirements for post placement and structural support.

Plan for approximately 40 feet of practice depth. The standard distance from the baseline to the service line is 39 feet, so adequate clearance helps support realistic serving and groundstroke practice.

Important: Do It Tennis does not install or set up the backboard. Arrange qualified help or a professional installer if you are not comfortable completing the required carpentry work.

Freight Delivery

This oversized product ships by common-carrier freight. Residential delivery is curbside only, and the freight carrier is not responsible for unloading the backboard or moving it to a backyard, driveway, or tennis court. Commercial delivery is typically limited to a loading dock or curbside.

Before delivery, arrange appropriate equipment and enough people to unload the panels safely and move them to the installation area. Inspect the shipment before signing the bill of lading, and note any visible freight damage on the delivery paperwork. Shipping damage is handled as a carrier claim rather than a manufacturer warranty claim.

Manufacturer Warranty

Bakko provides a ten-year pro-rated limited warranty on the structural integrity of the backboard panels, including qualifying issues such as major warping, peeling, delamination, separation, or panel decomposition. The exterior Imron® paint is covered for one year against qualifying cracking, peeling, fading, and oxidation.

The warranty applies to the panels only. It does not cover mounting hardware; vandalism; acts of God; extreme weather; non-tennis use; improper installation; cuts or gouges that expose the interior; damage from tree sap or animals; or marks and scratches unrelated to normal tennis-ball use. Outdoor exposure, climate, salt air, direct sun, and panel orientation may affect the rate of paint oxidation and color fading.

The warranty begins when the receiver signs the bill of lading. Follow Bakko’s installation instructions and document freight damage at delivery to protect your rights under the applicable carrier claim and manufacturer warranty processes.
