Tennis Bucket List: Top Ten Tennis Destinations to visit in your lifetime

There are so many sights to see and places to explore in this great big world of ours. Many might never step foot out of their hometown, while others will search far and wide for adventure and new experiences. And among these wondrous places is a slew of courts to get a tennis game going! So, whether you’re a tennis pro, or you are just starting to pick out the right tennis racquet for you, at one time in your life you should visit these tennis courts. Join us on a journey to 10 tennis courts you should put on your tennis bucket list. Some near, some far, and all unique tennis courts that will make you want to lace up your tennis shoes, pick up your tennis racquet and pack your bags.
1) Helipad Tennis Court, Burj Al Arab, Dubai:

This tennis court is at the top of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and yields an amazing view and unforgettable height. It also doubles as a helipad that guests use upon arrival. It is the highest tennis court in the world and is not for the faint at heart. Don’t lose your tennis balls on this court because there is no getting them back.
2) Floating tennis court, Doha Bay, Qatar:

Smack dab in the Doha Bay in Qatar is this amazing floating tennis court. It was used as a promotion for the upcoming ATP tennis tournament and some players were even lucky enough to play a few exhibition matches on it. While not very conducive to playing, it makes for a great show and worth a visit during the tournament at one time in your life.
3) Peter’s Island, British Virgin Islands:

Considering a trip to the British Virgin Islands? Well, lace up your tennis shoes, grab your racquet, and get to Peter’s Island Resort for a one-of-a-kind, scenic tennis playing experience. This tropical oasis tennis court features a forest to the left and a beach to the right, making it feel like you’re the only one on the island.
4) Sea Island, Georgia:

Sea Island, Georgia is beautiful tennis escape not many know about. This resort has tennis pros offering clinics and lessons making it possible for you to get away and improve your game. You don’t even have to bring your racquets on vacation; they have a pro shop with tennis racquet demos. It makes for a tennis-filled vacation without having to leave the country. Plus, with the resort’s tennis for kids programs, your whole family can enjoy th experience.
5) Four Seasons Nevis, West Indies.

Nestled in the beautiful West Indies, the Four Seasons offers a unique, private beach-style resort experience with tennis courts overlooking lush green mountains and a crystal blue ocean. You can play a match one hour and snorkel the next, making for a truly versatile vacation.
6) Vanderbilt Tennis Center in Grand Central Station, New York:

A tennis court inside of one of the busiest terminals in the world? It’s true. The Vanderbilt Tennis Center is hidden in the middle of Grand Central Station in the heart of NYC. It offers adult and junior tennis lessons as well as a pro shop with all the new tennis racquets, demo tennis racquets and stringing services. It is a perfect place for commuters to blow off steam by playing a few matches in between stops.
7) Alice Marble Tennis Club, San Francisco:

These public tennis courts come with an amazing view of the city, the Golden Gate Bridge and even Alcatraz. Steps away from iconic and renowned Lombard street, this destination makes for an affordable tennis day, especially if you are local. Though what it lacks in amenities it makes up for in the unique charm that San Francisco has to offer.
8) Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, Eastbourne, UK:

This tennis club boasts some of the nicest grass tennis courts in the world. Surrounded by trees, these well-manicured lawn courts will make you feel like a tennis pro playing on Wimbledon. You can even get private coaching to help you master the grass court, which isn’t something you see every day in the United States.
9) Monte Carlo Country Club, Monte Carlo:

On the coast of Monte Carlo lies a hidden gem of a tennis court at the Monte Carlo Country Club. This tennis club plays home to 21 clay courts and hosts the Monte Carlo Rolex Master’s tennis tournaments. The club also offers tennis for every level and a very posh pro shop and boutique. The Monte Carlo Country Club is rich in history, and guests can enjoy a view of aqua seas from tennis courts they may never want to leave.
10) La Quinta Resort and Spa, Palm Springs, CA:

La Quinta Resort and Spa is a resort hidden near the desert’s tropical oasis known as Palm Springs, CA and is an arm’s reach from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. This tennis resort is one of the best in the world and has been graced with the presence of tennis great, Djokavic. It’s a major hot spot during the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in the spring.
